In perfect fashion, drinks were flowing, the sun was shining and life was good in Newport Beach, CA. This was our 6th year working with Malibu Rum, Absolut Vodka and Toes on the Nose. Teams of employees come from all over the southland to compete in an Athletic Competion like no other! Guests are welcomed with the signature drink to get the creative juices flowing and each team chooses a Captain. It’s a very festive event that requires the teams to come up with their own look and attire. So, there’s never any shortage of surprises.

DJ Tim Coy works closely with the event coordinators from Toes on the Nose surf company to organize the events of the day. “This is one of my favorite events of the year! Everyone comes out in outrageous costumes and has a ball!” Newport Dunes in Newport Beach is a phenomenal location for indoor and outdoor events. They can provide endless outdoor activities including stand-up paddle boarding, outrigger canoes, beach volleyball, inflatable floating slides and that’s not to mention all of the boating activities!

Custom Pattern Projection

Our Lighting Department is growing by leaps and bounds with Director of Lighting & Audio, Jason Moser at the helm. Creativity abounds and there are so many options to choose from now! Uplighting is one of the most popular lighting effects right now but custom pattern projections are on the rise. We’ve been experimenting with jungle patterns and floral designs projected on the walls and ceilings and the results are phenomenal!

This award held special meaning to us as it came from actual brides that we have worked with. They went out of their way to let the public know about the excellent service that we provide. It was the perfect day at the perfect location for an Exclusive Bridal Show at Trump National Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes, Ca. The event was held on Sunday January 23rd and all of the brides that got engaged over the holidays set out to build the wedding of their dreams in California. Winds gently blew over the seaside cliffs as the premier wedding vendors of the southland began constructing the showroom that would highlight the day.

Senior Lighting Designer, Jason Moser arrived early to set the stage for an inspiring lighting display that had energetic young brides swarming for a look. “We put together both white and color custom monograms as well as LED Up-Lights for the show which really gave brides a lot of options that easily fit their budget.,” remarked Jason. Minister, Wedding Officiant & Ceremony Coordinator Loreen Saldana was on-hand to help couples plan their vows and make sense of the complexities involved in a ceremony. It really gave brides focus and relieved a lot of stress that comes with planning a wedding. Keith Morgan, a long-time insider in the Hollywood entertainment industry, was instrumental in planning and designing customized entertainment packages for clients that wanted something above the status quo! Booking Musicians for the the wedding and a DJ for the receptions was no problem!

Pamela Marches captured the moments on film in a way that can only be described as brilliant! Pamela’s calendar is sure to book quickly in 2011 & 2012 after the exposure and warm welcome that she received at Trump National. See samples of her work in our video slideshow. (above)

Huntington Beach Hyatt Regency

Surf City and the World Famous Huntington Beach has long been the destination for events in Southern California. After catering to the needs of all that frequent the Hyatt it was time to honor the employees that make it all happen! The HB Hyatt Regency invited Tim Coy to entertain the crowd at the employee anniversary party. DJ Tim Coy has performed at many of the Hyatt Employee events over the last 10 years. The Hyatt is very gracious and showers their employees with praise for a job well done.

In California, anytime of year can be the perfect time for a wedding. It’s not uncommon to have it be 32 degrees and raining on Friday only to have it turn out to be 75 degrees and sunny on Saturday!

Well, that’s just about what happened here. Just a week or 2 ago, we were in the middle of the biggest down-pour of rain that California has seen in decades. People on the east coast and mid-west are shoveling their driveways while dealing with a blizzard. Yet, in the middle of January 2011, we quickly bounced back to our golden coast weather with blue skies and tropical backgrounds.

Lisa Craig and David Quizon chose the Old Ranch Country Club for their wedding ceremony and reception. Loreen Saldana was the Wedding Officiant. She always knows just how to word things to make them flow eloquently from beginning to end. After a warm wedding with the rolling hills of the country club as the back-drop, the bride and groom were able to sneak away for a few quick pictures. The family and guests enjoyed gourmet treats from the renowned chef’s at Old Ranch in the reception hall. As the reception began, DJ Tim Coy worked closely with the staff and Amy, the event coordinator, to insure a smooth and seamless event.
